Oh Sleeves!

An old trend that’s made its way back ’round! Get ready to see all types of exciting sleeves this spring and summer. Here are my top 5 picks from the new Cabi Spring Collection (from Top left):

Te Amo Blouse:

Like a wearable love letter, this season’s Heart of cabi piece is adorned with an allover print of the word “love” translated in a number of languages. This lightweight poly blouse has a background of navy blue, featuring purple and white script. The V-neckline of the Te Amo Blouse is accompanied by graceful bishop-style sleeves, which fit slim at the high arm and blossom out just above the elbow, finished off with a classic buttoned blouse cuff.

Whitney Shirt

A modern take on the traditional oxford, the Whitney Shirt features a floral print and yarn dyed stripes, contrasted by horizontal lines at the placket. A ruffle above the cuff provides a feminine flourish, and the smocking means the sleeve will stay put if you want to push it up your arms for a casual take we absolutely adore.

Trumpet Cardi (middle)

In the vibrant red of a hibiscus in bloom, this sweater is notable for both its color and its silhouette. Oversized bell sleeves add flourish to the crew neck Trumpet Cardi and are elasticized at the base for versatility; when you push the sleeves up, they’ll stay securely in place. The stretchy and comfy knit has a wide rib skimming your silhouette and creating a figure-flattering line, while the covered snap buttons make for a sleek close at the grosgrain-lined placket.

Wing Top

This striped top is ever-chic, and our yarn-dyed linen version is a must-have for this season. The fabric has a touch of slub and a bit of spandex for a fit that is relaxed and floaty, yet also a little bit boxy in the most stylish way. The Wing Top’s pleats at the shoulder give the sleeves on-trend volume, and a keyhole in back finishes it off with style.

Bell Sleeve

The Bell Jacket features on-trend designer detailing, perfect for spring. The unique sleeves of this navy-and-white striped jacket are the focal point: longer in back than in front, they start at the elbow and flare out for a dramatic look. Petite shoulder pads create a strong shoulder, which along with the flattering lines of the cut, visually narrow the waist and provide an hourglass look. This longer-length jacket is finely detailed with classic elements including a single two-tone button closure, a notched collar, two back vents, and a crisp color scheme that balances the dramatic effect of the sleeves.
